Evidence-led Osteopathy That Helps You Understand Your Body.
Clear assessment, personalised treatment and plain-English explanations for people who want care that makes sense.
Osteopathy that helps you understand your body
Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to care for pain, injury and movement problems. It looks at how your muscles, joints, spine, lifestyle and daily habits may be contributing to how you feel.
At my clinic, treatment is not about quick fixes, vague explanations or treating every body the same.
Your appointment is designed to help you understand what may be driving your symptoms, what your body needs, and what you can do next. That may include hands-on treatment, movement advice, Pilates-based rehabilitation, or practical changes that fit your life.
The aim is not just to reduce pain in the short term. It is to help you move with more confidence, feel clearer about your body, and build the strength and resilience to keep doing the things that matter to you.
If you are tired of being told to “just stretch”, “sit up straight” or push through without understanding why your symptoms keep coming back, you are in the right place.
You’re in the right place if….
You want to understand what may be contributing to your pain, not be given vague advice.
You prefer clear, evidence-led explanations over fear-based messaging.
You want hands-on treatment with practical next steps you can actually use.
You’re tired of being told to “just stretch”, “sit up straight” or push through.
You want care that considers your body, lifestyle, movement and goals.
If this sounds like you, book an appointment and let’s make sense of what’s going on.
“I went to Alex with lower back pain and she was able to treat me successfully, after years of visiting other physios and osteopaths who couldn’t at other practices! Alex is so knowledgeable and skilled at what she does. She listens, makes me feel understood and gave me hope that my back pain can be treated, which it was. Couldn’t recommend Alex more :)”
If You Want To Feel Like This…
“Alex is an incredible osteo, who really takes the time to understand your body and the issues you are dealing with. Her attention to detail and knowledge is second to none, so you immediately feel relaxed in her care, and her holistic approach has helped alleviate the nerve impingement pain that I had been dealing with. I would absolutely recommend visiting for treatment”
How I Work and What To Expect
Your appointment is not just about finding where it hurts and treating that area.
We’ll start by making sense of what’s been going on: your symptoms, your movement, your day-to-day routine, your health history, and what your body is being asked to cope with.
From there, I’ll talk you through what I’m finding in plain English, so you understand what may be contributing to your pain or discomfort. No fear-based explanations, no vague advice, and no assumption that every body needs the same approach.
Treatment may include hands-on osteopathic techniques, movement advice, Pilates-based rehabilitation, or simple changes you can apply between sessions.
The goal is to help you feel clearer, more confident in your body, and supported with practical next steps - not dependent on treatment without understanding why.
If something needs further investigation or support from another professional, I’ll always be honest about that too.
By the end of your appointment, you should have a clearer understanding of what may be going on, what we can work on together, and what you can do next.
Conditions I Commonly Treat
-
Pregnancy and childbirth place significant demands on the body. Osteopathic treatment uses gentle, hands-on techniques to support you through these changes and aid recovery afterwards. During pregnancy, treatment may help ease back and pelvic pain, improve posture, reduce tension and support comfort as your body adapts to your growing baby. After birth, osteopathy can help address aches and pains related to pregnancy and delivery, support posture during feeding and carrying, and assist your body's recovery as you regain strength and stability.

Many people seek osteopathic treatment for neck-related headaches and to help with migraine prevention. If your headaches are severe, persistent or changing in nature, we may also recommend discussing your symptoms with your GP.
